How it works - p. 2 of 2

We ask participants what you need from a reuse service and evolve Excess Access based on what you say:

Donors:
-You want a quick, easy way to see if anyone out there wants your stuff before you have it hauled away to the dump. You feel a little guilty about chucking things that are perfectly good, but you're in a time pinch.

-You wouldn't know where to start searching for whoever near you might need exactly what you have available.

-You'd like stuff picked-up at your convenience. And would appreciate a tax-deductible receipt.

Recipients:
-You are understaffed and overworked, so searching for what you need isn't going to happen very often. But you'd welcome email alerts with subject titles showing what's available near you that matches you wishlist.

-You feel awkward refusing unwanted donations, so a double blind "potential matching" system allows for you to ignore gifts when they aren't a match or you just don't have time to look that day.

We reserve the right to pull and delete any offensive or illegal donations / wishes. The staff reviews all postings although matching is automatic.

This website is continually under development to be as modern and helpful as possible. If you encounter any problems, please do not hesitate to email us.

For more information please also check out our FAQ page. Or you can proceed directly to Register / Sign up.
